Crisis Communication Tip

How we communicate in a crisis – internally and externally – makes the difference between leadership panic and leadership poise.

Google, in its effort to clarify its work with the U.S. government, posted a clear, simple meme to help its employees understand and implement infection control:

Don’t feel like you need to come up with your own clever tools. Instead, be motivated by the ideas behind it: keep your communication with employees, vendors and customers short and to the point.

BTW: in a crisis, employees are the stakeholder group most often overlooked. Crisp, frequent communication will help them thrive amidst the panic.
